If you are being bullied, you will almost certainly feel unhappy and frightened. You may think that the problem is you and that no-one can help you. That is not true. Often people who bully are unhappy themselves and have problems of their own - some don't even realise that what they are doing is upsetting. The important thing to remember is that bullying can stop - so take action now!

  • Tell someone you can trust (a family member or another adult)
  • Keep asking for help until things are sorted out - don't give up.
  • Try not to be alone (bullies tend to pick on people who are on their own!)
  • Tell your friends they can support you and look out for you
  • Try to ignore the bully or say NO firmly and walk away. It is hard for a bully to go on bullying someone who does not stand still!
